چکیده
This paper addresses the topic of unsaturated soil stability focusing on wetting-induced instability mechanisms occurring before attainment classical shear failure. The study was conducted by simulating a series imbibition tests elementary volumes controlling water contentand net stresses. behaviour an ideal coarse-grained described combining WR2-Unsat model for solid skeleton and Van Genuchten relationship definition retention curve. reproduces response upon wetting, modelling activation mechanism volumetric identifying factors that most contribute to its triggering.

Localized Scleroderma: Predisposing and Triggering Factors
The etiology of localized scleroderma remains unclear. The objective of this article is to review different theories of etiology, specifically provocative and predisposing factors for the development of localized scleroderma. The mini-review presents the factors, which may influence the occurrence of localized scleroderma. The genetic predisposition for the development of scleroderma is a relev...
متن کاملCritical wetting phenomena : observation of hydrodynamic instabilities
2014 In critical wetting phenomena, the situation of a heavier liquid residing on top of lighter liquid is observed. The consequences of the Rayleigh-Taylor mode of instability in the semicritical wetting layer in a binary liquid mixture are investigated. We also report experimental observations in support of our theory, in the critical binary liquid mixture cyclohexane + acetonitrile. J. Physi...

INTRODUCTION To investigate the pattern of vancomycin-associated nephrotoxicity in children and to examine potential predisposing factors for nephrotoxicity, including average serum trough concentrations ≥10 μg/mL. METHODS Patients ≥1 week old to ≤15 years with normal baseline serum creatinine values who received vancomycin for ≥48 h between October 2010 and September 2012 were retrospectivel...
متن کاملDystonia and tremor induced by peripheral trauma: predisposing factors.
Movement disorders are usually of central origin, but sometimes involuntary movements occur after peripheral trauma. Twenty eight patients, 13 women and 15 men, mean age 37 years (range 15-78), were studied with dystonia or tremor in whom the onset of abnormal movements was related, in time and in distribution, to injury of a body part. Among 23 patients with latency of less than one year after...
متن کاملNeonatal Tetanus in Southern Iran: Predisposing and Prognostic Factors
Background: The predisposing and prognostic factors for neonatal tetanus (NNT) have not been adequately studied in southernIran. Objective: The present study was undertaken in Fars Province to further clarify the status of neonatal tetanus in this region. Methods: The mortality rate was correlated with demographic and clinical findings in 112 cases of neonatal tetanus. In addition, the height ...
